September 11, 2012 was the first time since 1979 (over three decades ago) that we lost an American ambassador in a violent attack. That day, terrorists attacked a US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. The State Department, then operating under Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State,
ignored multiple requests for more security in Benghazi. Among those killed in the attack was Ambassador Stevens. Hillary Clinton then went on to publicly
blame the military-style attack on a YouTube video. (Hillary Clinton even blamed a video as the
coffins arrive).
